FAQ
Mechanical seals serve as specialized mechanisms designed to create a tight seal at the junction of a rotating shaft, preventing the escape of high-pressure fluids into lower pressure environments. These seals not only prevent leaks but also help in controlling the conditions around the seal and providing lubrication to secondary sealing components.
Mechanical seals play a crucial role in centrifugal pump setups, ensuring the reliability and efficiency of these systems by preventing fluid leakage and blocking impurities from entering. Various kinds of mechanical seals are employed, including single and double seals, balanced and unbalanced designs, pusher and non-pusher variants, cartridge seals, dry-running seals for equipment like agitators, mixers, reactors, and blenders, as well as split seals for the same equipment types. Additionally, these seals encompass components such as seal faces, rings, bushes, and sleeves, along with supply systems and bearing isolators.
The components of a mechanical seal include secondary static seals, V-rings, O-rings, or wedges, along with a stationary component for static sealing. It also consists of a rotating component seal connected to the shaft, a spring mechanism, which could be a single or multiple spring design, and metal bellows. Additionally, hardware parts such as gland rings, compression rings, collars, and shaft sleeves are integral to the assembly.
Mechanical seals can be classified into various types, but the primary distinction lies between balanced and unbalanced designs. This categorization is based on a fundamental criterion that distinguishes between the two main types of mechanical seals.
Quality problems usually arise during the production process, not during the inspection. In order to reduce quality problems, all our products are inspected at every step of the production process and a final inspection is carried out before dispatch.
